The overall scope of the position is to manage the hotel’s website and position it as the priority channel of electronic distribution, manage the hotel’s online platforms and digital media campaigns and optimize the hotel’s overall digital presence.
Responsibility :
1.Handles site inspections (within and for outside catering) with potential clients when required.
2.Represents the hotel during meetings, cocktails and dinner parties with potential clients and sells the best possible service and the highest revenue in the interest of the hotels as well as the client.
3.Ensure a sales attitude prevails at all times within the team supervise and organize training of the team on how to maximize revenue.
4.Ensure the weekly Function sheet and group information sheet is competed by the team.
5.Determine need periods and pass on to the BDM/DBD
6.Responsible for producing conversion statistics on a monthly basis and reports these to the BDM/DBD.
7.Prepares and runs the morning briefing and debriefing with the team, ensures all team members are prepared for the weekly provisional meeting and monthly regular meeting.
8.Attend the weekly availability meeting (S&M meeting, Department meeting).
9.Set targets on conversion with the BDM/DBD for the team, instigate and up-selling program for the menu item.
10.Follows up on all lost and cancelled business to ensure an accurate reason has been obtained and recorded. Rate discussion will be held with the Revenue Manager and the DOS to maximize yield.
11.To supervise the work of all Conference & Banqueting Team. Be responsible to do the regular and system training for all team.
12.Schedule Holiday and office coverage for the team. Complete weekly attendance records.
