Core Responsibility
The primary responsibility of this role is to provide customized, high-quality dining services to designated VIP clients, their family members, and guests. The position ensures food safety, exceptional taste, balanced nutrition, and an outstanding dining experience while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality throughout all dining-related activities.
1. Customized Menu Planning
- Develop a thorough understanding of the client's dietary preferences, taste preferences, food restrictions, and nutritional requirements. Create personalized menus based on seasonal ingredients and dining occasions, including daily family meals, family gatherings, festive celebrations, private entertainment, and business hospitality events. Communicate with clients in advance to confirm menus and make adjustments as needed.
- Stay informed about culinary trends and healthy eating concepts. Regularly update menu offerings by incorporating fresh ingredients and innovative cooking techniques while maintaining a balance of flavor and nutrition. Provide customized meal solutions for specific dietary requirements, such as children's meals, maternity meals, vegetarian menus, and other special dietary plans.
2. Ingredient Procurement and Management
- Prepare detailed ingredient purchasing lists based on approved menus and submit them to the designated procurement personnel. Assist with ingredient sourcing and purchasing when required.
- Inspect all received ingredients to ensure quality and freshness. Maintain strict quality control standards, prioritizing seasonal and organic ingredients whenever possible. Reject expired, spoiled, or substandard products. At the same time, effectively manage procurement costs and maintain accurate purchasing records.
- Manage the proper storage and inventory of ingredients according to their specific requirements, including refrigeration, freezing, and room-temperature storage. Implement standardized storage procedures to prevent spoilage, cross-contamination, and unnecessary waste. Conduct regular inventory checks and monitor expiration dates to ensure all ingredients remain fresh and suitable for consumption.
3. Food Preparation and Presentation
- Execute all food preparation tasks according to customized menus, including cleaning, cutting, marinating, and other preparatory processes. Follow established culinary procedures and standards, carefully controlling cooking techniques, seasoning, and plating to ensure exceptional taste, appearance, and presentation quality.
- Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene and kitchen sanitation. Strictly adhere to food safety regulations, keep the kitchen organized and clean, separate food preparation areas appropriately to avoid cross-contamination, and ensure cooking utensils and tableware are properly cleaned and sanitized.
- Provide food service during meals as required, including portioning, plating, and serving dishes. Support the smooth execution of dining and entertainment events and promptly accommodate guests' additional requests, such as flavor adjustments or additional dishes.
4.Kitchen Operations and Maintenance
- Oversee the organization and maintenance of the kitchen, ensuring all countertops, floors, equipment, and storage areas remain clean and orderly. Conduct regular inspections, cleaning, and basic maintenance of kitchen equipment, including ovens, refrigerators, and cooking appliances. Report equipment malfunctions promptly and assist in arranging repairs when necessary.
- Organize and manage kitchen supplies, ingredients, and seasonings efficiently. Optimize kitchen layout and workflows to improve operational efficiency and minimize waste. Conduct regular inventory checks and ensure timely replenishment of necessary supplies, seasonings, and equipment.
5.Additional Responsibilities
- Assist clients with all dining-related preparations, proactively planning dining arrangements to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience. Perform post-meal duties, including dishwashing, kitchen cleaning, and overall kitchen restoration.
- Continuously develop professional culinary skills by learning new cooking techniques and recipes. Regularly improve menu offerings and service standards based on guest feedback and evolving culinary trends.
- Strictly comply with all reasonable client requirements and maintain absolute confidentiality. Refrain from inquiring about or disclosing any information related to clients, including personal information, dietary preferences, or family matters. Respect clients' lifestyles and dining habits and work in accordance with their preferences and schedules.
- Perform other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
1. Professional Skills
- Strong culinary expertise with proficiency in at least two to three cuisines, such as Chinese, Western, Southeast Asian, or other international cuisines. Ability to independently manage the entire cooking process, from ingredient preparation to cooking and presentation, while consistently delivering excellent flavor, appearance, and quality.
- Demonstrated ability to design customized menus tailored to clients' preferences and dietary requirements while ensuring both taste and nutritional balance.
- Extensive knowledge of ingredient characteristics, food handling standards, and food preservation techniques. Ability to accurately assess ingredient freshness and apply proper storage, preparation, and marinating methods while strictly adhering to food safety standards and preventing cross-contamination.
- Creativity and innovation in menu development, with an awareness of culinary trends and healthy eating concepts. Ability to regularly introduce new dishes and enhance existing offerings to meet diverse and high-end dining expectations.

3. Experience and Practical Requirements
- Minimum of five years of experience as an Executive Chef, Head Chef, or equivalent position in luxury hotels or high-end restaurants. Familiarity with private dining and hospitality services and the ability to independently manage all kitchen operations.
- Proficient in operating a wide range of kitchen equipment, including ovens, refrigerators, cooktops, mixers, blenders, and food processors. Ability to perform basic equipment cleaning and maintenance and promptly report operational issues.
- Experience in ingredient sourcing, supplier selection, procurement planning, cost management, inventory control, and record keeping while maintaining premium ingredient quality standards.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented mindset.
4. Additional Requirements
- Fluent English communication skills are required. Ability to speak Mandarin Chinese and Cantonese is highly desirable.
- Valid health certificate and free from contagious diseases or other medical conditions that may affect food service duties.
- Clean employment record, good character, honesty, integrity, and strong professional ethics, with the ability to maintain long-term and stable employment.
- Flexibility to adjust working hours based on operational needs, including availability for holidays, family gatherings, and special events.
