Job Description:
The position is based in Shanghai.
Proactively generate inquires for MICE & Events
and discuss with the clients further detail pertaining to an event: menu,
beverage, budget, room and miscellaneous arrangements.
Fully connected to the market, maintains
relationships with relevant hotels and industry sources. Effectively communicates this information to
the team leader and the team for the maximum benefit of the hotel and to foster
a winning attitude against the competitive set.
Fosters and motivates talent. Fully embraces all tools, including those
provided by brand management to consistently maintain high performing
colleagues. Manages performance appropriately
based hotel best practices.
Issue instructions for functions to all
departments via the order in advance. To supervise the preparation of
arrangements of the concerned function to ensure everything is in order.
Cooperate with Beijing team to prepare and
deliver site inspections, familiarization and other events for potential
customers; ensure all detail of meetings and conventions are in compliance with hotel standards, including
room set-ups, staging, lighting audio-visual, traffic flow, menus, group room
blocks, transportation, billing instructions and VIP services.
Organize
and execute Shang Hai and nearby cities feeder market blitz.
Driving group business in Shanghai with proper room
rates, meeting room rental, and coordinate hotel services team and MICE &
Events team that meets or exceeds hotel and personal revenue goals and ensure
all guests are satisfied with their group stay.
Completes daily/weekly/monthly sales activity
and reports as directed by the Sr. Director of MICE & Leisure and Director
of Catering.
Participate in weekly Sales & Marketing
meeting online, Annual Business and Marketing Plans, assist with sales plan and
budget process.
Attends
appropriate trade/road shows, organizes sales trips in local market and feeder
cities as directed by the Sr. Director of MICE & Leisure and Director of Catering.
